Monitoring is critical: I use Prometheus + Grafana for beacon and execution layer metrics. Slashing protection requires careful client config, can’t just spin up a second validator without syncing slashing DB.

I avoid 11:00–13:00 UTC (European lunch), market goes sideways and spread widens. Best to step away then grab lunch too!

Quick tip, especially for volatile alts like MATIC perps: halve your usual leverage and use bracket orders. That way you lock in profits and avoid getting liquidated if it dumps 10 % in seconds. Works most of the time haha.

@Aliceincryptoland Discipline is key! Here’s my daily routine: Pre-Trade Checklist Trend confirmed on higher TF ️ SL & TP set before entry ️ Risk ≤ 1% of account ️ Emotional Check After placing trade, take 3 deep breaths, count to 10. If you feel FOMO/FUD, step away for 5 minutes, no screens. Journal Entry reason, emotional state, outcome, lesson learned. Review weekly: look for patterns (“I chased pumps 3x this week”). Doing this turned me from a roller-coaster trader into a process-driven one

@Aliceincryptoland Think of it like lending a friend money when they really want to borrow from you. When the demand to go long is high, they will pay you interest. You can “lend” by opening a long in the perp market. If you do not want the market risk, you can hedge with a short spot position or use a delta-neutral derivatives strategy on an exchange that supports both perp and spot. For example last week funding went negative for 12 hours while BTC rallied 5 percent. Many retail traders kept holding longs and paid up. If you had collected funding and held a small short spot hedge, you would have been flat on price but happily pocketed the funding difference.

When I mentor new traders I emphasize context. Intraday charts can feel chaotic if you ignore the bigger picture. Here is my process step by step: Daily Chart Identify major support and resistance levels. Mark at least three key highs and lows that have held over the past week. 4-Hour Chart Confirm whether price is above or below your chosen daily levels. This tells you if you should bias long or short on shorter timeframes. 1-Hour Chart Add 50 and 200 SMAs. Look for crossovers or confluence of SMA with your levels. 15-Minute Chart Wait for a retracement into a confluence zone (for example SMA and horizontal level intersecting). 5-Minute Chart Set up alerts on price reaching that 15-minute confluence. When alerted, switch to 1-minute to nail down your exact entry candle (pin bar, inside bar, or engulfing candle). This layered method might take a bit longer but your win rate will improve because you only take trades that align across every timeframe you watch.

Thanks @Bob_The_Trader & everyone! I’ll try the 4H trend + 50 EMA filter and widen my SL based on ATR. Really appreciate the tips
